In the late 1800s early 1900s stereoscopes were people's home entertainment systems. They would stage elaborate plays, with actors and costumes and plots, all to create a sequential series of photographs that would tell a story when viewed in on stereo cards in the stereo viewer. I really like the idea of staging art specifically to be photographed. I wonder what sorts of variations you could do with it if you took it out of the gallery. You could write scores & have actors appear at specific places and times for people to photograph. It’s a new spin on an old idea. For example, he didn't interact with art for a year, and called that a work of art. Could you establish a set of conditions by which someone lived their lives for a year and then declare that art, with the person involved only being aware that they had made a work of art at the point when those conditions are met?
