Cheryl Leonard

Leonard is an experimental composer who creates scores for instruments like feathers,  bowed pine cones, and percussive rocks.  Recent explorations of the natural world have taken her to Antarctica. Her composition Ziran, based on poems from the Tang dynasty of ancient China, is typical of her methodology.
